The Card Bureau Is Hiring
Part Time | Washington D.C.

Position Summary
We're looking for someone to help us package and fulfill orders that will ship out to wholesale and retail customers. The ideal candidate is a Jack or Jill of all trades who has an interest in creative design work and is willing to be flexible to meet the needs of a small but growing greeting card company. The job will focus mainly on order fulfillment but there will be opportunities to get involved in other aspects of the business depending on your skills and interest. Other areas of work could include coming up with greeting card ideas, new product ideas, illustrating, photography, social media management, maintaining and growing customer relationships, marketing/advertising, and more. This could be a good fit for someone who needs a side gig to fit in their existing schedule; maybe you're a freelancer that could use some steady work in between gigs. Or maybe you're looking for an opportunity to get involved in creative design work and be a DC maker.

We are also open to crafting this into a paid Spring/Summer internship position for someone interested in the ins-and-outs of a start-up and we can adjust the scope of involvement to match learning goals of the applicant.

Applicants must have a strong attention for detail and be organized and efficient. The job is based in Northwest Washington DC and requires 20-30 hours a week. Times and days can be flexible but preference is for weekday mornings. Looking to fill position as quickly as possible.

  • Fulfill orders and prepare for mail delivery.
  • Small scale production of products (we manually make our buttons/magnets and candles).

  • Ability to be organized and easily multitask.
  • Must be able to meet order deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
